A graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Institute of Architecture and Design in Copenhagen, Denmark, Aniella Sophie Goldinger is one of two 2018 Kompas Fellows. In addition to completing rigorous coursework and design projects throughout her schooling, Aniella has also contributed to several noteworthy architectural exhibitions and publications, such as Arch Daily and BWERK Exhibitions.
During her fellowship, Aniella plans to evaluate how public space design features affect human interactions with nature. She’ll be researching how immaterial concepts, such as time and memory, translate into architectural design. Her site analysis will involve mapping and subjective cartography based on phenomenological concepts and neighborhood characteristics.
Contributing to Myefski Architects’ projects as an Architectural Intern, particularly within the city of Chicago, will help her cultivate an unbiased perspective of the city from an architectural and social standpoint, which will ultimately support her research goals.
