Anna Matilda Stenberg

Anna Matilda Stenberg, a graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Architecture, is the 2023 Kompas Fellow. After working as the first employee in a start-up, Anna gained a keen understanding of business realities and plans to use that experience in her work as a design professional.

During her fellowship, Anna will search out the complex effects that can be extracted when creating the future facades of Chicago.  To do so she will map and analyze facades across the city to identify their characteristics. Her work will consider historic factors, present conditions, and future possibilities.

By contributing to MA’s diverse portfolio of projects, Anna has the opportunity as an Architectural Intern to experience first-hand how a design team transitions from program goals and massing to a composed facade language.
